Snowshoeing the winter sky
The thick dark cloud hung over the Rocky Mountain sky. It was the chill of the 22 degree morning air as the over cast day made its way. Winds picked up and the snow began causing some snow drifts. I watched the storm blow in as each snow flake made its way on the ground. A careful study of the cloud I new was the NIMBOSTRATUS CLOUD that produced the weather of precipitation in the air. I admired the beauty of each snow flake falling.
Taking the snow shoes and gathering my winter clothing I began on the nearby trail observing the beauty of the winter sky and what it had to offer me.
It was the stillness that spoke. The wind that was heard. The beauty of the structures before spring came to bring foliage and a book waiting for me by the fire to read when I got back. Today, I found winter a beautiful delight.
