Above the clouds

Up here the sky is sacred

PERSPECTIVE - the way you see something.

Flying on a trip to Michigan I had hoped for the window seat to observe the clouds above the earths surface. I was looking for an experience to try and understand what else could I observe within the clouds systems to be able to consider other possibilities of educating myself. Grateful that the gentlemen that was sitting in my row offered to give me his window seat.

What I knew up to this point was knowledge about the different types of clouds, a few weather patterns and my observations of the colors that would present some difficulties for me in my watercolor palette as I had to find the blues palette that fit the sky.

As I began to consider in the atmosphere above what I was observing I began to identify the clouds but I also thought about the perspective that I was able to see from my window seat looking down onto the clouds.

Above the clouds its quiet. It’s not complicated. It’s simple. The perspective above allows me to think clearly, thinking out loud. There isn’t any responsibilities above the clouds.

Below on the earths surface looking up towards the sky there are different shifts of the clouds as if they are trying to express a story that is being told. Maybe it’s the story that is being told within me as I document my observations and learning the weather patterns. Below the clouds leave mysteries I’m still reading about, and questions that I still have.
