These handmade earthenware pieces connect you to the natural world of clay as each piece is uniquely shaped and formed on the wheel creating a warmth and beauty.

An artisan style ice cream bowl. Suited for relaxing on a Sunday afternoon.

We used to take our older kids to a river to go tubing years ago. On the way home on an occasion we would stop by the little town we passed by. They had a little Ice Cream shop. Those days were about a love for family and building up what we had to create stories.

As I picked the berries one by one I began to consider what I had grown in our suburban back yard. It was the gooseberries that I had added to the the bowl observing the combination of the colors of the bowl and the berries. That day I learned gratitude.

Browns rich deep tones that remind me of my garden as I work the soil and delight in this beautiful space I live in

My goal for these bowls was to find a combination of colors I enjoyed. The warmth of the brown combined with a cream color that softened this bowl up was a beautiful surprise.

Collecting the bowls that were shaped on the wheel, this project helped me to see that I was beginning to develop my art more naturally and gave me confidence.

When I had decided to learn rather than watch then I began to see what it was that I enjoyed about the earthen colors.
A two tone color I enjoyed working with as I experimented a little with ochre and wheat together. I liked the combination. You may see more of these as I continue on experimenting with other color combinations.

White can brighten up a table when blended with the earth tones. It’s got a certain beauty and simplicity to it.
